Sea of Galilee

In the northeastern part of Israel is the Sea of Galilee, a violin-shaped freshwater lake, also known as Lake Kinnereth or Lake of Tiberius, among other names. This lake was the location of many significant episodes in the life of Jesus, and the place where he recruited his first disciples.
